rapid v.s slow process erosion

rapid process erosion means a process of erosion that is quick.
slow process erosion is when a erosion happens over a lot of timeThe surface of the earth changes. Some changes are due to slow processes, such as erosion and weathering, and some changes are due to rapid processes, such as landslides, volcanic eruptions, and earthquakes. weathering is a process that often acts along with erosion to help shape Earth's surface. Physical weathering is when rock is broken down through Earth's natural processes. An example of physical weathering is when water seeps into the cracks of rocks, freezes into ice, and therefore expands forcing the rock to break.

Final Reflections

This unit had a lot of info that I did not know. I learned all about erosions. water erosion is when water interacts with soil and makes a valley, this is made from soil getting pushed from water and at the end settles their.
wind erosion is when wind pushes sand or dirt to places like when wind blows so hard and sand goes in your eye thats wind erosion but the sand all goes to one place.

Chemical weathering is what happens when rocks are broken down and chemically altered. Learn about the different types of chemical weathering, including hydrolysis, oxidation, carbonation, acid rain and acids produced by lichens.

cool careers

Geochemists study the composition, structure, processes, and other physical aspects of the Earth. They examine the distribution of chemical elements in rocks and minerals, as well as the movement of these elements into soil and water systems.

geophysicist is someone who studies the Earth using gravity, magnetic, electrical, and seismic methods. Some geophysicists spend most of their time outdoors studying various features of the Earth, and others spend most of their time indoors using computers for modeling and calculations

Geology is the study of the Earth. ... Marine Geology focuses these studies in areas affected by our oceans. These are the deep ocean floor, the shallower slopes and shelves that surround the continents, and especially the coasts which include beaches, estuaries, rivers, and large lakes.

Experiment one: wind erosion

question: what happens if the wind goes over a forest?

hypothesis: some things will move and get replaced.

Materials sand, tub, wooden wedge,,straw , wind gun.

Wadi Trip

The windy wadi in wadi Degla the sand hits our eye while the scorching hot sun is blazing on us the sun is pulling the sweat out of our body. The rocky terrain was balancing. I being dumb I fell 4 times cracked my phone and the last time I fell down on a step hill more on that later. the long walk was tiring enough we sat and ate then listened to mr.bill but, I am proud because I ran from the back of the line to were mr. green [as other people call him mr. O'sullivan] was I made it to the top of the line and then we sat down to eat. After we ate we sat for a hour and listened about rocks and chemicals and lime. When he was done we had 30 minutes of free time to run around but not to far or to high up. after that we went on a hike and i fell and cracked my phone but I fell again and I almost died. I fell and my hands were occupied I was dangiling off a hight of a couple hundred meters up aly el abd my best brother held me up and that was that I was still alive and we left. I DID HAVE A LOT OF FUN!

Mechanical And Chemical Erosion

Intro: Erosion, removal of surface material from Earth’s crust, primarily soil and rockdebris, and the transportation of the eroded materials by natural agencies (such as water or wind) from the point of removal.
erosion

beach erosion

Water: when water is on soil and the water moves the water takes the soil down with it and create a path and it makes a valley. All the soil is taken down with the water intel the water stops.
Glacial: Glacial erosion occurs in two principal ways: through the abrasion of surface materials as the ice grinds over the ground (much of the abrasive action being attributable to the debris embedded in the ice along its base); and by the quarrying or plucking of rock from the glacier bed. The eroded material is transported until it is deposited or until the glacier melts.

Reality Experience

The Experience was great we went on a journey to Victoria falls it was beautiful and there was a devils pool where daring people that are adventures swim in. then there was a grand canyon and there were people on a boat and getting hit left and right it was a nice experience but I only like scary 360 v.r videos.

water erosion

Question - What happens if 2 streams come together at the same time one with the big hole and one with the big hole?
Hypothesis - i think that the streams are going to meet.
Materials - sand, tub, wooden wedge, water, 2 cups, a bucket.

APL QUOTE

"Don't raise your voice improve your argument" by Desmond tutu
What I think of that quote is that you should not raise your voice but you should argue in a calm way like know a lot of what your talking about so you can improve on your argument on a statement said by you or a fellow companion. I like this quote because it proves you shouldn't higher your voice  just know what your talking about

Experiment two: deposition

Question: what happens to the land that gets eroded

Hypothesis: the land will have a second layer on top of the original layer

Materials: plastic cup, water, sand [fine sand and hard sand] ruler, clay, tray a big contaner

Procesure: water was dropped into the sand and it started digging down and made a hole more water was pored and then it started going down and creating a stream

Observation: water was dropped into the sand and it started digging down and made a hole more water was pored and then it started going down and creating a stream

experiment one: water erosion

Question: What happens to land when water flows over it.

Hypothesis: the water will cary the soil  down in the stream that it is going in. And indent the soil.
